Advertising through Google AdSense

The site is connected to Google AdSense using a Google code, a verification tag and an ads.txt file. Google code is loaded on the content pages and may transmit technical information to Google even if no ad is displayed. Displaying ads depends on site approval and account settings. Approval of YouTube content is not approval of personalized advertising.

What information may be used for advertising after activation?

When the advertising service is activated, Google and other advertising providers may use cookies, identifiers and similar technologies to display ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud. The information may include IP address, device and browser details, page visit and ad interaction. Advertising cookies may allow Google and its partners to tailor ads based on visits to this and other websites. Non-personalized advertising may also use cookies for measurement, frequency limiting and security purposes.

Consent and control of advertising

Pages and target audience

The short video pages, policy pages, navigation pages, and error pages are not intended to display ads in the site's advertising plan. The sections dealing with babies and children are intended for parents and caregivers. The site does not create advertising audiences based on sensitive health information or personal information about children.

Article rating and sharing

You can rate an article without registering or providing a name or email address. When you rate it, your browser stores a cookie with a random identifier for one year. The server stores the rating, its date and a derived identifier rather than your name, so you can change or remove your rating from the same browser. Ratings older than one year are excluded from results and deleted when the next rating action occurs. If you delete the cookie, we cannot recognize your previous rating in that browser.

To reduce repeated requests, an identifier derived from the IP address is stored for up to an hour through a one-way calculation with a secret key; It is cleared at the next rating request. The raw IP address is not stored in the ratings file, but may appear in the hosting provider's logs. average score and the number of ratings are publicly displayed; The identifiers are stored outside the public site folder.

YouTube players and previews

On the video viewing pages, the YouTube player is loaded when the page is opened, without automatic activation, unless there is a valid selection in the browser to block external content. Loading the player does not wait for clicking play or confirm. Cards appear in the articles that lead to the viewing page. Preview images from the service servers are loaded only after external content is approved.

The player uses youtube-nocookie.com, but enhanced privacy mode does not guarantee that no information is transferred. As soon as the player is loaded, Google may receive an IP address, browser information, website address and usage data. When activated, the service may use cookies or storage according to its policy. Selecting "Essentials Only" removes the player and prevents future loadings as long as the preference is valid and saved. It does not delete information that has already been transferred. You can change the choice via "privacy and cookie preferences" at the bottom of the website. The close player button only applies to the current page. Without JavaScript, an alternate player is loaded, and preferences saved in local storage cannot be read.
